Conference Scholarships

We know conferences take time and money - that’s why we prioritize providing scholarships for attendees. We welcome applicants from all Southern states, and we strongly encourage beginning and aspiring farmers, BIPOC producers, and veteran farmers and ranchers to apply.

If selected for a conference scholarship, you will be asked to register online and pay a reduced fee (up to $70 for full conference package + selected workshops). SPI will cover your remaining registration costs, with Mon/Tues lunches included. You may also request a small or large travel stipend to assist with mileage, lodging, or flights. Please note travel stipends will be awarded after the conference and will require you to create an account with Texas State University.

Applications close on July 26th. We will begin reviewing applications and notifying successful applicants around June 1. In the case of non-acceptance for a scholarship, your application will be reviewed by FARFA to receive one of their limited scholarships, or you will receive a link to take advantage of Early Bird registration rates.
