Directions & Parking

The Southern Family Farmers and Food Systems Conference is coming up quickly, and we’re excited to welcome you to it! Below is information on all of the logistics, including hotels and parking.

DIRECTIONS

The conference will be on the Texas State University campus at the LBJ Student Center, 3rd floor, located at 109 Student Center Dr., San Marcos. Check-in on Monday begins at 7:15 a.m., and the Welcome Address begins at 8:15 a.m.

 You can find a map of the campus here.

Conference parking will be in the Matthews Street Garage on the 3rd floor and above. Do NOT park in Red/Reserved spaces on the first two floors. Attendees should enter the LBJ Student Center through the back entrance at the bus loop. Volunteers and signage will be available to help direct you.

You can find directions to the Matthews Street Garage on Apple or Google Maps. You can also find driving directions to the LBJ Student Center here. These instructions guide you to Student Center Dr., where Matthew St. Garage is located.  

Do not park in the LBJ parking garage.

PARKING

 You must pay for a campus parking pass ($6) ahead of time. 

The instructions are below. Please have your vehicle information ready.

  1. Go to link: https://txstate.aimsparking.com/

  2. Click “Purchase Event Permit” (See images below)

  3. Agree with Terms of Service, if it pops up

  4. Select Event Type “SUMMER PROGRAMS/WORKSHOPS/CONFERENCES”

  5. Select Event “Southern Family Farmers & Food Systems Conference”

  6. Select Permit Type “Summer Program ($6.00)” – only option

  7. Press Confirm when prompted

  8. Select “Add Vehicle” in the bottom left, fill out your vehicle information, and select “Add” on the bottom right

  9. Press “Continue” on the next screen

  10. This will take you to a payment screen where you will need to enter your email address and click “Continue”

The Event Type is Summer Programs / Workshops / Conferences

The event is under Southern Family Farmers & Food Systems Conference

Your receipt and parking permit will be emailed to you in PDF form.

Parking permits are virtual and there is no need to print anything.


Please note that this parking lot is NOT handicap accessible – you have to climb stairs to get to the LBJ Student Center from the main lot.  If stairs pose a problem for you, please email smallproducers@txstate.edu, and SPI will arrange for you to get a parking pass at a lot that is handicap accessible to the building.
